Traditional
Chinese Medicine (TCM) - TCM is the main style taught and
practiced in the USA today. Organized by the People's Republic of
China, the primary focus is on balancing the disharmony within the
Zang-Fu to regain optimum health.
Japanese
Acupuncture - Kiiko Matsumoto Style - This is a Japanese
style developed by world renowned researcher, author and acupuncturist,
Kiiko Matsumoto, L.Ac. In this style, a hands-on approach is used
to feel where the disharmony is and checks to make sure that each
point selected has the greatest effect on the patient's issue. Many
people who are not used to acupuncture find this style very effective
and rarely feel the needles or stimulation from them.
Acupuncture
Physical Medicine (APM) - APM style was developed by noted
author and head of Tri-State College of Acupuncture, Dr. Mark Seem,
Ph.D., L.Ac. This style of acupuncture is adapted from the works of
Dr. Janet Travell, M.D. on western myofascial trigger point release
and from classical eastern acupuncture. APM is found to be extremely
effective in treating musculo-skeletal pain issues.
Facial
Rejuvenation Acupuncture - Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture is
also known as Cosmetic Acupuncture, Acupuncture Facial Rejuvenation,
or an Acupuncture Facelift. In addition to the many and varied health
promoting effects throughout the body that regular Acupuncture bestows,
Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture aims to correct the signs of aging
by both local treatment and by treating the underlying causes of why
an individual is specifically manifesting the aging process the way
they are.
